Reconciliation Week Breakfast

Our annual Reconciliation Week Breakfast brought together the heart of our community — staff from Heywood Rural Health, partners from Winda-Mara Aboriginal Corporation, respected Elders and the energetic Boorie Kids group.

This year’s theme, “All In”, reminds us that reconciliation is not the work of a few, but a shared journey that calls on all of us. The morning was a powerful reflection of what happens when we show up together, listen together and commit together.

Through our ongoing collaboration and joint MOU, we continue working to create culturally safe, welcoming and responsive healthcare services for everyone in our community.

We were deeply honoured by a Welcome to Country from Uncle Daryl Rose, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to Aunty Jan Lovett, HRH Aboriginal Cultural Officer, for organising such a meaningful gathering.

We thank John Bradshaw from LiveUp for speaking at the breakfast about the wonderful resources available for people getting older, so they don’t lose their independence.

Reconciliation is a journey we take side by side — and this year, we’re all in.
