UNITING CHURCH OP SHOP DONATION

A generous donation has helped HRH to purchase a brand-new washing machine.

Thanks to the Heywood Uniting Church Op Shop, HRH were able to purchase not one, but two, new washing machines, as the previous pair were 10 years old and at end of life.

The industrial washing machines come at a hefty price so the $4600 donation purchased one of the large machines, and the second washing machine came out of the hospital budget.

The two new machines are larger and more efficient than the previous machines.

HRH are thrilled with the donation and support of the Uniting Church which has been long standing over the years with other items purchased through donations.

Our staff at HRH really appreciate having two washing machines back operational to wash the resident’s personal clothing which keeps the staff really busy.

The funds were raised through the Op Shop sales which is run by volunteer manager, Chris Merchant.

Uniting Church minister, Ross Standford said they like to put money back into the community and have supported HRH in the past but not for the last couple of years.

A big shout out to the Uniting Church members for your generous support which benefits the residents immensely.
